Ceasefire violations | Regime forces renew rocket fire on “de-escalation zone”

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored, in the early hours of the morning, the fall of rocket-propelled grenades fired by regime forces on areas in Al-Bara, Al-Fatira, Benin and the perimeter of Kansafra in Jabal al-Zawiya in southern countryside of Idlib, as part of the ongoing violations of the ceasefire implemented in the “de-escalation zone”, which agreed upon after a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Receb Tayyip Erdogan on March 5.

Yesterday, SOHR sources said that regime forces renewed their ground bombardment on positions within the “de-escalation zone” in the early hours of Tuesday morning, targeting, with rockets and artillery shells, places in Fleifel, Benin, al-Bara and Al-Fatira in southern sector of Idlib countryside, as well as areas in Sahl Al-Ghab, north-west of Hama. No casualties were reported.
