Syrian desert | Russian-backed forces continue their operations to secure the Deir ez-Zor-Homs road, and Russian jets renew airstrikes on Aleppo-Hama-Raqqah triangle

SOHR sources say that military operations continue in various areas in the Syrian desert, where Russian-backed forces such as the Fifth Corps and the Palestinian Al-Quds Brigade are still trying to secure the Deir ez-Zor-Homs road, through a large-scale security campaign. Meanwhile, Russian jets continue their airstrikes on ISIS positions in the Aleppo-Hama-Raqqa triangle.

Yesterday, SOHR activists said that Russian jets continue flying over the Syrian desert, executing further airstrikes on ISIS positions within the Aleppo-Hama-Raqqah triangle. The Syrian Observatory monitored Russian jets executing more than 40 airstrikes in the last 24 hours.

Yesterday, reliable sources have the Syrian Observatory that two unidentified men on a motorcycle threw a grenade at a patrol of the Russian-backed Fifth Corps, killing two people and wounding three others on the Deir ez-Zor-Palmyra road, where the area is witnessing combing operations by Russian-backed forces, led by the Fifth Corps and the Palestinian Al-Quds Brigade.
