Turkish renewed bombardment | Kurdish-controlled towns and villages in northern Aleppo come under artillery fire

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists say that Turkish forces shelled, with artillery, the surrounding areas of Tal Rifaat town, Harbal village and Mar’naz in Kurdish controlled areas in the northern countryside Aleppo. No casualties have been reported.

Yesterday, Observatory sources reported that Turkish forces stationed in “Euphrates Shield” areas shelled the Kurdish-controlled villages of Mar’naz and Al-Alqamiyyah in the northern countryside of Aleppo with artillery. No casualties were reported.

On January 13, SOHR activists reported artillery shelling by Turkish forces stationed at the base of “Al-Buhuth” in north Aleppo countryside, targeting frontlines of Maranaz village and the outskirts of Tel Rifaat town.

The shelling coincided with clashes between Kurdish forces and Turkish-backed factions following an infiltration attempt by Turkish-backed factions into Kurdish positions in Ain Daqna and Maranaz villages in the northern countryside of Aleppo province. No casualties were reported.

On January 11, SOHR activists said that Turkish forces and their proxy factions stationed in “Euphrates Shield” areas shelled the villages of Mar’anaz, Ain Daqna, Al-Belouna and Tal Rifa’at in areas held by Kurdish forces in north Aleppo countryside.
