Syrian desert | Russian jets execute over 20 airstrikes in 24 hours

Syrian Observatory activists say that Russian fighter jets executed over 20 airstrikes on the Syrian desert in the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, military operations are still underway in different areas in the desert.

SOHR sources reported earlier today that the Russian-backed militias such as the 5th Corps and the Palestinian “Liwaa Al-Quds” were attempting to secure the Deir Ezzor-Homs highway, through a large-scale security campaign. Meanwhile, Russian jets continued their airstrikes on ISIS positions in Aleppo-Hama-Raqqa triangle.

Yesterday, SOHR activists said that Russian jets executed nearly 40 airstrikes on ISIS positions within the Aleppo-Hama-Raqqah triangle.

A day earlier, reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory that two unidentified men on a motorcycle threw a grenade at a patrol of the Russian-backed Fifth Corps, killing two members and wounding three others on Deir Ezzor-Palmyra road, where the area was witnessing combing operations by Russian-backed forces, led by the Fifth Corps and the Palestinian Liwaa Al-Quds.
