Jabhat al- Nusra confirms the participation of its own members in the massacre of Qalb Loza “without reference to their emires”

SOHR received a copy of statement issued by Jabhat al- Nusra about the massacre committed by Jabhat al- Nusra members led by a Tunisian commander in the village of Qalb Lozah in al- Sammaq Mountain in the countryside of Idlib. The statement declares that “Jabhat al- Nusra received with deep sorrow news of the incident occurred in the village of Qalb Lozah in the countryside of Idlib in 6/10/2015, where some of members of Jabhat al- Nusra participated this incident without reference to their emirs, and with clear violations of the instructions of Jabhat al- Nusra command.”  

 

“As soon as the incident took place Jabhat al- Nusra sent several delegations and committees to uncover the facts surrounding incident by themselves and to assure the people that what happened is unjustified mistake made without the knowledge of the command, and that the people of the village are still safe and under our protection in our held areas,” Jabhat al- Nusra added.

 

“Everyone involved in this incident are going to be brought to the sharia court and will be held to account in case of he involved in killing people, and that only the arbitration of out God’s rules; where the reason behind establishing Jabhat al- Nusra is to arbitrate Sharia,” the statement continue.

 

“Jabhat al- Nusra has confirmed that it does not raise weapons but in face of those who assault and kill Muslims from the criminal Nusayri (alawite) army, the Kharijites and the corrupters on the earth, and the enemy witnesses on this before the friend. We call upon all people to be accurate and to find out the truth and facts before disseminating them, and the doors of Jabhat al- Nusra are opened for all. So, such mistakes may happen and be made by all people but they are always solved immediately by the grace of Allah as long as we are all under the law of Allah Almighty,” the statement concluded.

 

It was that SOHR published that SOHR documented the death of 20 civilians from Qalb al-Loza village which is inhabited by Druze in al- Sammaq Mountain in Idlib countryside. The details reported that an altercation took place between a Tunisian leader in Jabhat al-Nusra and his members on one side and civilians from the village on the other on the backdrop of Jabhat al-Nusra’s attempt to seize a  house belongs to a member in the regime forces but the relatives of this member prevented them. The altercations developed into shooting that led to kill one of  citizens in the village , where people gathered in the incident’s place amid intense firing by Jabhat al- Nusra fighters, a citizen from the village could take  a gun of Jabhat al- Nusra fighter and open fire leading to killed a member in Jabhat al-Nusra which called for reinforcements to take over the village. After that Jabhat al-Nusra opened fire on the civilians leading to the death of 20 including a child at least and elderly. The destiny of the Tunisian leader is still unknown.
