Large military operation looms… Huge reinforcements to Daraa

The forces of the Fourth Division in the Syrian government forces, supported by Iran, have brought large reinforcements to Daraa in preparation for launching a likely military operation in the region.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the “Fourth Division” within the Syrian government forces, which is led by Maher al-Assad, brother of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has begun to bring huge military reinforcements to their sites in Daraa governorate, where dozens of machineries; tanks and trucks loaded with military and logistical equipment, in addition to soldiers arrived on Thursday morning to the city of Daraa, coming from the capital, Damascus.

The Observatory believes that these reinforcements came for a major security campaign, which the pro-Iranian Fourth Division is preparing to launch in Daraa, especially in its western countryside.

In a related context, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that a “member of the Central Committee” concerned with negotiations with the Damascus government was killed, after an assassination with bullet that targeted him in al-Muzeiyrib town in the western countryside of Daraa, by unknown gunmen.

Daraa governorate is witnessing a state of tension and security chaos, against the background of the conflict between the forces of the Fourth Division, backed by Iran, and the forces of the Fifth Corps, supported by Russia, which is made up of the so-called Settlement elements who were affiliated with the armed groups.
