By “Caliphate Cubs and the costume of Self-Defense”, “Islamic State” carry out Tal Abyad military operations

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was able to observe the details of an attack by the “Islamic State” dawn of Saturday 27th of February 2016 on the city of Tal Abyad and its surrounding villages and on other areas in its countryside, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was informed by reliable sources in Al-Raqqah city and its countryside that a large number of members from the organization who carried out the attack were already -for nearly a month- in the city of Tal Abyad as sleeping cells, most of them were members under the age of 18 who have completed their intensive training in the “camps” of the organization before moving to Tal Abyad city, the sources also confirmed that some other fighters entered the city with their weapons wearing uniforms of the fighters of “duty of self-defense” personnel of the democratic self-management.

The battles which began at the dawn of Saturday continued at Sunday in the countryside of Tal Abyad, where the International Coalition’s warplanes targeted a power plant which the members of the “Islamic state” barricaded in, near Ayn al-Arous area, while YPG regained control of Hammam al-Turkman town, Ayn al-Arous, Sluk and the village of Nas Tal at the border with Turkey, amid continued attacks by members of the organization on sites for the Kurdish units between the areas of Mabrouka and al-Kantri.

The violent clash resulted in killing more than 70 member of the organization, in addition to killing at least 20 fighters from the Kurdish units, 10 civilians at least were also killed in the area in the ongoing military operations and one of them was beheaded.
