Drone attack | Turkish airstrikes hit house in Ain Al-Arab countryside (Kobani)
Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR sources have reported that a Turkish drone has struck a house in Mamet village in the south of Ain Al-Arab city (Kobani) in eastern Aleppo, injuring a man.
It is worth noting that the frontlines of “Kobani” have experienced tense calm and cessation of operations by Turkish drones for long time.
On January 11, Russian and Turkish forces had conducted the first joint patrol in 2021 in the surrounding areas of Ain Al-Arab city (Kobani) in eastern Aleppo. The joint patrol set off from the border area in the east of Ain Al-Arab city (Kobani) and toured villages and towns near the Syria-Turkey border. Meanwhile, two Russian helicopters were seen flying over the area escorting the joint patrol.
In early January, SOHR sources reported Turkish bombardment on positions of “Manbij Military Council” in Um Julud and Um Adasah in Manbij countryside in eastern Aleppo. This bombardment followed a drone attack on oil trucks near Hamaran crossing in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
