Tribal fight | Four people killed and 17 others wounded in SDF-held areas, north of Deir ez-Zor

Deir ez-Zor governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources say that the death toll of tribal clashes in the town of Al-Sour in northern countryside of Deir al-Zour has risen to one civilian and three members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), who are members of the tribes, and some 17 people were injured in the clashes.

Reliable sources have told SOHR that an armed fight erupted between “Al-Boamair” and “Al-Kassar tribes in Al-Suwar town in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor. According to SOHR sources, the clashes left two gunmen, one of each tribe, dead as well as the death of a third person from “Al-Mushahdah” tribe, as several members of Syria Democratic Forces engaged in the fight, while a large number of gunmen of the two tribes injured. SDF later intervened, as “interposition forces”, attempting to break up the clashes.

On August 29, 2020, SOHR sources reported that a woman and a young man were killed, while others were injured in a new tribal fight in Hemar Al-Kasrah village in the western countryside of Dier Ezzor countryside in SDF-held areas. The fight coincided with setting residential houses on fire and vandalizing properties.
