New attack | Turkish-backed fighter killed in attack on military checkpoint in Aleppo countryside, and dismantling IEDs in Azaz city

Aleppo Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR activists say that a member of the Sultan Murad Division was killed and another injured, as unidentified gunmen attacked a military checkpoint in al-Ra’i area in Aleppo countryside.

Meanwhile, an IED was found near a market in Azaz city in Aleppo countryside, where it was dismantled by a specialized team.

On January 24, SOHR activists reported an assassination which targeted a pharmacist in Bab Al-Salama camp in Azaz countryside in the northern countryside of Aleppo. According to SOHR sources, unknown gunmen broke into the victim’s pharmacy and directly shot him, while the reasons behind this murder remained unknown.

On January 20, SOHR activists documented the death of a lawyer in Jarabulus city in areas under the control of Turkish-backed factions in the north-eastern countryside of Aleppo, after unknown gunmen opened fire with a silencer gun on a car he was travelling in.
