Regime forces administratively transfer besieged officer in al-Hasaka province to the post of chief of staff of 17th Division

Under an administrative order, the Regime forces transferred Brigadier General Haitham Barakat, commander of the 123th Regiment in al-Hasaka, to the chief of staff of the 17th Division, in light of recent developments in al-Hasaka province and the siege imposed on regime forces’ positions for 17 consecutive days.

According to sources, the brigadier general is in the 123th Regiment in the Kokab area on the outskirts of al-Hasaka city behind al-Tala’a neighbourhood, where Al-Asaish forces have been besieging it for days and preventing materials from entering.

All officers and soldiers in the cities of al-Hasakeh and al-Qamishli are under siege, and the Asayish forces do not allow them to move outside their posts.
