Kidnapped earlier by unknown assailants | Turkish-backed 20th Division commander found dead in Azaz city, north of Aleppo

Aleppo Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR activists say that the body of a leader of the Turkish-backed 20th Division was found dead and dumped in a sewage in the city of Azaz, north of Aleppo, after being kidnapped by unknown assailants from the city of Azaz yesterday.

On January 27, Syrian Observatory activists documented the death of a commander of the Turkish-backed “Al-Sham Corps”, succumbing to his wounds sustained in an IED attack in his car in Jarabulus city in eastern Aleppo.

SOHR sources reported that an IED exploded in a car, which a commander of the Turkish-backed “National Army” and his family were traveling in, on the road to Al-Nahr in Jarabulus city in eastern Aleppo. The explosion injured the commander and two of his family. It is worth noting that the commander sustained serious injuries.
