Armed attack | Unknown gunmen open fire on Turkish post near M4 in western Idlib, injuring two soldiers

SOHR sources have reported that unknown gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on the outpost of a Turkish military post in Abu Al-Zubayr area near Muhambel town on Aleppo-Latakia international highway “M4” in western Idlib. The attack left two Turkish soldiers injured.

 

On January 17, SOHR activists said that a Turkish sergeant was injured, after unidentified gunmen opened fire on the Turkish outposts in Batbo village in west Aleppo countryside.

 

Similarly, on January 3, SOHR activists reported hearing an explosion near Maarrat Misrin caused by an RPG attack by unknown gunmen on a Turkish military vehicle, while it was passing by the junction of Kafriya village in the north of Idlib city. No casualties were reported. Meanwhile, security services of the factions and Turkish forces cordoned off the site of the attack.

 

While, on December 7, reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory that a Turkish soldier was injured, as unknown assailants fired a guided missile on the Turkish military base in Ram Hamdan town in northern Idlib. The attack left material damage to the Turkish base.
