Ain Issa | Turkish forces and proxies shell several positions, while tens of regime soldiers brought in to the 93rd Brigade

SOHR sources say that Turkish forces and proxy factions shelled, with heavy weapons, Mu’allaq village, Isterahat Saqr, and M4 highway in Ain Issa countryside in northern Al-Raqqah.

 

On the other hand, SOHR sources have monitored the arrival of eight buses, this morning, with tens of regime soldiers aboard in the 93rd Brigade in Ain Issa.

 

Yesterday, SOHR sources monitored an infiltration attempt by Turkish-backed factions into SDF positions on frontlines of Ma’alaq village in Ain Issa countryside near the “M4” highway, along with ground bombardment by Turkish-backed factions on the villages of Ma’alaq, Khalidiya and Istirahat Saqr in northern Al-Raqqah. No casualties were reported.

 

A day earlier, Observatory activists monitored artillery shelling by Turkish forces and proxy factions on Ma’alaq village, the outskirts of Ain Issa town, and positions on Aleppo-Al-Hasakah international highway “M4”. No casualties were reported.

 

Syrian Observatory activists had documented the injury of a civilian, after being shot by Turkish forces near the eastern frontlines of Ain Issa district in northern Al-Raqqah. The civilian was shot while he was heading to Tal Tamr at a time when a Turkish military column was passing in the area.

 

SOHR sources also reported Turkish shelling on Sayda village and the “M4” highway in the countryside of Ain Issa, north of Al-Raqqah, but no casualties were reported.

 

On January 23, Syrian Observatory activists monitored renewed clashes with heavy and medium weapons between Turkish-backed factions and SDF, on the frontlines of Jahbal and Al-Mushayrifah village in the east of Ain Issa. The clashes followed an infiltration attempt by the Turkish-backed factions into SDF positions.
