Joint patrols | Russian and Turkish forces conduct new patrol near Ain al-Arab (Kobani)

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored this morning a new joint patrol conducted by Turkish and Russian forces in the countryside of Ain al-Arab city (Kobani). Russian and Turkish vehicles set off from the Ashma border crossing, west of the city, and headed to the villages of Zormaghar, Bindar, Garekli, Qouli, Khorkhoury, Sevetek and Salim, and then returned to Ashma.

On January 11, Russian and Turkish forces conducted the first joint patrol in 2021, in the surrounding areas of Ain Al-Arab city (Kobani) in eastern Aleppo. The joint patrol set off from the border area in the east of Ain Al-Arab city (Kobani) and toured villages and towns near the Syria-Turkey border. Meanwhile, two Russian helicopters were seen flying over the area escorting the joint patrol.
