Armed attack | Unknown gunmen open fire on Turkish-backed militiaman in rural Aleppo

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have documented the injury of a Turkish-backed militiaman, as unknown gunmen in a pickup truck opened fire on him while driving his car in Suran city in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

Yesterday, Observatory activists documented the death of a little girl affected by the wounds she sustained a few hours earlier in the car-bomb explosion near the cultural centre in Azaz city in northern Aleppo.

Accordingly, the number of people killed in this explosion rose to seven, including two women and two children.

In less than 24 hours, on January 30 and 31, the Syrian Observatory activists documented the deaths of 20 people, including two women, six children and five members of the al-Hamza Division, as well as the injury of 64 others, following three violent explosions hit the following areas: Al-Sina’a district in Afrin city, Azaz city, and “Um Shakif” checkpoint of the Turkish-backed “al-Hamza Division” in the Sukkaria area in east Aleppo countryside.
