Missing for three days | Three fishermen found dead in Al-Furat lake in eastern Aleppo

The bodies of three young men were found with gunshot wounds in Al-Furat lake near Jabal Arudah in the south of Manbij city in regime-controlled areas in the eastern countryside of Aleppo. The three young men went missing three days ago, after they went fishing in the lake.

In mid-January, SOHR sources reported that a young man from Deir Atiyyah town in Rif Dimashq was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Homs city. According to SOHR sources, the body of the young man was found with gunshot wounds at head, a few days after he headed to Homs city in a visit to trade. The victim’s family had informed the security services that they lost contact with the young man, before the family was told that he was found dead and dumped in an abandoned house in “Al-Naziheen” neighbourhood in Homs city.

Two days earlier, SOHR sources reported that a civilian was killed inside his house in the town of Anaz in Wadi al-Nassara, also known as “Wadi Al-Nadara”, in the western countryside of Homs, following an exchange of fire between him and a group of thieves who tried to steal his motorcycle from the balcony of his house. The civilian managed to kill one of the thieves before he died.
