Murder | Body of a man found with gunshot wounds in northern Al-Suwaidaa

Al-Suwaidaa Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: The body of a man in his fifties was found with gunshot wounds and dumped on the side of the road to Salkhad in the northern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa, while uncertainty is surrounding the circumstances of this murder.

 

On February 1, SOHR sources said that the bodies of two young men were found with gunshot wounds in their car near Suwaymarah junction in the northern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa. No further details were reported.

 

On January 17, SOHR sources said that a university student was found dead in Lahta village in the northern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa, after being hit with a shot from a weapon in his possession. However, no confirmed information was reported about the circumstances of this incident if the young man was killed or he accidentally killed himself while tampering with his weapon and cleaning it up.

 

A day earlier, reliable SOHR sources reported exchange of fire between a thief and a group of civilians travelling in a car in Al-Suwaidaa city, as the thief was attempting to hijack the car by force. During the exchange of fire. The thief killed one of the car’s occupants and injured three others.

 

On January 11, SOHR activists said that residents in Al-Suwaidaa city found a young man dead and lying near the city’s “School for Commerce” with marks of torture on his body. According to Syrian Observatory sources, the young man was from Al-Suwaidaa, and was one of the ringleaders in the area.
