Turkish military in NE Syria | Three new bases established in Ain Issa, bringing the number of Turkish bases near M4 in Al-Raqqah to ten

Syrian Observatory activists have confirmed that Turkish forces have established three new military bases near the M4 highway in Ain Issa in northern Al-Raqqah, bringing the total number of military bases established near the frontlines with SDF to ten, an they are as follows: a base in Mu’allaq village opposite Ain Issa district, a abase opposite Istrahat Saqr two kilometres to the west of Ain Issa, a base Al-Saydah village in northern Ain Issa, a abase opposite Istrahat Al-Nakhil two kilometres to the east of Ain Issa, a base near Jahbal village, and two bases nearly four kilometres away from Ain Issa centre.

 

On November 4, SOHR sources monitored Turkish forces setting up a new military base near the M4 road west of Ain Issa area in northern Al-Raqqah province. According to Observatory sources, Turkish forces were stationed at five military bases near the M4 road: Kaffifa, Ain Rummana, Tina and Al-Rab’ea on the road between Ain Issa and Istirahat saqr, and the last one in western Ain Issa town.

 

While on October 21, the Syrian Observatory monitored Turkish-backed factions bringing in military reinforcement to Tel Abyad and Ain Issa countryside.
