Military escalation | Opposition factions renew shelling regime positions in rural Idlib, while Russian jets fly over the province

Opposition factions operating under the banner of “Al-Fath Al-Mubin” operations room renewed shelling regime positions in Al-Malajah village, Khan Al-Sabil and Jobas in Idlib countryside. Meanwhile, Russian fighter jets were seen flying over the region.

 

On the other hand, SOHR sources have reported exchange of shelling and clashes with heavy machineguns between the factions and regime forces in Al-Ruwayha frontline in southern Idlib, but no casualties have been reported so far.

 

Observatory activists documented earlier today the death of eight Syrian jihadists of “Ansar Al-Hezb Al-Islami Al-Turkistani” (the Turkestani Islamic Party Supporters), as regime forces targeted their bus by a guided missile on Kherbet Al-Naqous frontlines in Sahl Al-Ghab in the western countryside of Hama. The attack also injured eight others jihadists, some seriously.
