After killing young man by 4th Division | Regime checkpoints put on high alert in Rif Dimashq, amid growing security tension

Rif Dimashq Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR sources say that gunmen of the 4th Division opened machinegun fire on two young men from Kanaker town in Rif Dimashq, killing one.

Meanwhile, SOHR activists have monitored growing security tension and deployment of gunmen in the town’s streets, along with hearing sounds of sporadic gunfire.

On the other hand, regime checkpoints in the surrounding areas of Kanaker were seen being put on high alert, while traffic on the roads to the town has been blocked and shops in the town have been closed.

On January 29, reliable sources informed SOHR that unknown gunmen attacked a regime checkpoint, in the early hours of the morning, in the area between Beit Tema and Beit Saber towns in Al-Haramoun area in western Rif Dimashq. No casualties were reported.
