Military escalation in western Hama | Nearly ten combatants killed in clashes between regime forces and the Turkistanis on Al-Ankawi frontlines

Syrian Observatory activists have reported that regime forces and loyal militias unleashed an attack in the early hours of Sunday morning on positions of the Turkistanis on Al-Haloubi and Al-Ankawi frontlines in Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-western countryside of Hama, where clashes erupted between both sides. The Turkistanis managed to foil the regime attack, but the clashes left large number of casualties on both sides, as five regime soldiers were killed and at least nine others were injured, while the Turkistanis lost three fighters and others injured.

Yesterday, SOHR activists documented the death of four regime soldiers, including a lieutenant, and injury of eight others, some seriously, in a surprise attack by groups affiliated with the “Jaysh Al-Nasr” faction on regime positions in Al-Fatatra village in the western countryside of Hama.

Observatory sources also reported regime bombardment with heavy artillery on the surrounding areas of Majdaliyah village in the eastern countryside of Idlib, Al-Sarmaniyah and Duwayr Al-Akrad villages in the north-western countryside of Hama, and Kabani area in Jabal Al-Akrad in Latakia countryside. However, no casualties were reported.
