On January 30, SOHR sources said that Ankara-backed factions stormed several civilian houses in the village of Shuraba in Ma’abatli district in Afrin countryside, arresting four civilians for unknown reasons.

Two days earlier, SOHR sources said that Turkish-backed factions declared a curfew, after imposing a security cordon on the village of Kakhra of Ma’abatli district in the morning, and launched a security campaign targeting civilians’ houses, under the pretext of searching for suspects responsible for the burning down of the car of a security official in the village.

Members of Turkish-backed factions kidnapped 27 young people, including minors. The arrested were brutally tortured and beaten, nine of whom were released, while uncertainty surrounded the fate of the remaining 18.
