In less than a week | Second assassination targeting foreign jihadist in Jisr al-Shughour

Idlib Province- Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

Reliable sources have informed SOHR that unidentified gunmen opened fire on a jihadist of Turkish nationality this evening, after he left a mosque in the northern neighbourhood in Jisr al-Shughour, seriously injuring him and was taken to medical centres.

It is worth noting that the targeted jihadist was subjected to a failed assassination attempt five days ago, where SOHR activists reported, on Febraury 2, the explosion of an IED in a car in northern neighbourhood of Jisr al-Shughour city in western countryside of Idlib. The explosion caused material damage. No casualties were reported. The targeted car is believed to be of a jihadist.

On January 30, SOHR activists reported an IED explosion in the car of a security official of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham in Al-Kastan village in Jisr Al-Shughur in western Idlib. The explosion caused material damage only.
