Three months after the arrest of French jihadist by HTS | HTS arrests his wife and children north of Idlib

Idlib province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources have reported that HTS arrested the wife of a jihadist of French nationality, named “Abu Shamil”, and his children, about three months after his arrest by the HTS for unknown reasons and motives.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, his wife, “Um Asia Al-Faransiya”, was arrested today with her children from the border town of Atma with the Iskenderun region, north of Idlib.

On September 1, SOHR sources said that Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham still detaining six foreign jihadists for the fourth consecutive day, without revealing the reasons behind arresting them. On August 29, HTS arrested a senior French jihadist of African descent, the commander of “Al-Ghurabaa Battalion”, with five other non-Syrian jihadists.
