Al-Hawl camp | New assassination targeting Iraqi refugee

Al-Hasakah Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored the killing of a refugee of Iraqi nationality, shot dead by unknown assailants in the third section of al-Hawl camp in the far south-east of al-Hasaka. He was targeted at dawn as part of the ongoing killings in the camp.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that unknown gunmen shot dead an Iraq refugee in his tent in the third section of Al-Hawl camp, where Asayish Forces have cordoned off the area and arrested two people who were present in the place where the murder occurred.

On February 7, SOHR sources said that the Internal Security Forces found the body of an Iraqi refugee with gunshot wounds at head, chest and abdomen, in the first part of Al-Hawl camp in Al-Hasakeh countryside.

This murder came in light of ISIS cells’ escalating activities inside the camp.
