Ceasefire violations | Clashes erupt between regime forces and rebels in eastern Idlib, while regime forces renew shelling positions in Sahl Al-Ghab

Syrian Observatory activists have reported clashes, in the early hours of Saturday morning, between opposition factions and regime forces on Majarez frontline in the eastern countryside of Idlib, as a part of regime forces’ attempt to advance into the region. The clashes coincided with exchange of bombardment, amid reports about casualties. Meanwhile, regime forces shelled position sin Jabal Al-Zawiyah and Sahl Al-Ghab.

 

Yesterday, SOHR activists documented the death of two regime soldiers in exchange of attacks and snipers’ gunshots in the northern countryside of Latakia. According to SOHR sources, one of the two soldiers was killed on Killis frontline in Jabal al-Turkman, while the other was killed on Kabanah frontline in Jabal al-Akrad. Meanwhile, a rebel was injured in an attack with a kamikaze drone on his car.

 

On the other hand, SOHR sources reported regime artillery fire in the early hours of Friday morning, on positions in Al-Faterah, the surrounding areas of Kansafra, Sfuhen, Bayanin, Al-Ruwayha, Kaddoura, Majdaliyyah, Saan in Idlib countryside, Al-Ankawi nd Qulaydin villages and the surrounding areas of Qastun in Sahl Al-Ghab. No casualties were reported.
