“De-escalation zone” | Regime forces start new round of ground bombardments on towns and villages in Idlib and Hama countryside, as drones fly over the area

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored, in the early hours of the morning, renewed rocket attacks by regime forces on areas in rural Hama and Idlib, targeting with rocket-propelled grenades places in Al-Fatira, Safohin, Fleifel and the outskirts of al-Bara and Benin, south of Idlib, and Al-Ziyara and Al-Ankawi in Sahl Al-Ghab, but no casualties have been reported.

Meanwhile, reconnaissance drones, believed to be affiliated with the Coalition, were seen flying over northern Idlib countryside near the Syrian-Turkish border.

Yesterday, Syrian Observatory activists reported clashes, in the early hours of Saturday morning, between opposition factions and regime forces on Majarez frontline in the eastern countryside of Idlib, as a part of regime forces’ attempt to advance into the region. The clashes coincided with exchange of bombardment, amid reports about casualties. Meanwhile, regime forces shelled position sin Jabal Al-Zawiyah and Sahl Al-Ghab.
