For “incitement against SDF” | Asayish Forces arrest secretary of Al-Baath Party’s Division in Amuda

Al-Hasakah Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR sources say that Asayish Forces have arrested the secretary of Al-Baath Party’s Division in Amuda city for “provoking residents to demonstrate against SDF, creating a state of disorder, propagating the Syrian regime and promoting its curricula. The man was later taken to Al-Darbasiyah security headquarter in Al-Hasakah city.

 

Yesterday, reliable sources informed SOHR that Syria Democratic Forces released Ras Al-Ain branch’s secretary, nearly a week after being arrested in Abu Rasin for “provoking people to demonstrate against SDF”.

 

On Sunday, SOHR sources confirmed that the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) released the eight teachers who were arrested a few days earlier in Karki Laki village in Rumaylan area in Al-Qamishli countryside for “teaching lessons of the regime curricula”. According to SOHR sources, the teachers’ release came after mediation by the area’s elders and dignitaries and after the teaches had signed documents, vowing not to teaching lessons of the regime curricula to the area’s students.

 

A day earlier, SOHR activists reported that Asayish forces released the teachers, who were arrested in the city of Amuda in Al-Hasakah countryside a few days earlier for “giving private lessons from regime’s curricula”. The teachers pledged to stop teaching from regime’s curricula at their homes, while other teachers from the city of Rumylan “Karki Laki” were detained by the “Asayish” for the same charge.

 

On February 10, SOHR activists monitored tens of students protesting in Amuda city, demanding the release of teaches detained by SDF.
