Security vacuum in SDF-held areas | SDF fighter shot dead in Al-Hasakah, while another survives assassination attempt in Deir Ezzor

Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of an SDF fighter after being shot in Al-Kawashiyah village of Markadah town in southern Al-Hasakah.

 

Meanwhile, unknown gunmen on a motorcycle opened fore on another SDF fighter in Abu Hamam town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, while he was on his way home. The fighter managed to hide in a house and survived the assassination attempt.

 

A few hours ago, SOHR sources reported that unknown gunmen on a motorcycle shot dead a guard working at the building of “Al-Shaa’b Council” in Hajin town in Deir Ezzor countryside.

 

This incident coincided with the escalating operations by ISIS cells in SDF-held areas in Deir Ezzor countryside.

 

As more fatalities are recorded and updated regularly, the number of people who were killed in areas within the four provinces of Aleppo, Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah, in addition to the SDF-held area of Manbij in the north-east of Aleppo rose to 691 fighters, civilians, oil workers, and officials in service parties.

 

The Syrian Observatory documented the assassination of 245 civilians including 17 children and 12 women by armed cells in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, al-Hasakah countryside, al-Raqqah city and countryside, and Manbij area. In addition, 439 SDF fighters, including local leaders, were assassinated in the same areas.

 

Also, four members of International Coalition were killed. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Human also documented tens of injuries due to these assassinations.
