“Al-Hawl mini-state” | Syrian displaced woman assassinated

Al-Hasakah Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: The Internal Security Forces (Asayish) have found the body of a Syrian displaced woman with gunshot wounds at head in the first section of Al-Hawl camp, allocated for the Iraqi refugees, in eastern Al-Hasakah. Meanwhile, uncertainty surrounds the circumstances and reasons behind this murder.

 

On February 11, Observatory sources documented the death of an Iraqi refugee after being shot by unknown assailants in the third section of al-Hawl camp in the far south-east of al-Hasaka. The victim was targeted at dawn as part of the ongoing killings in the camp.

 

A day earlier, SOHR sources reported that unknown gunmen shot dead an Iraq refugee in his tent in the third section of Al-Hawl camp, where Asayish Forces cordoned off the area and arrested two people who were present in the place where the murder occurred.

 

While on February 7, SOHR sources said that the Internal Security Forces found the body of an Iraqi refugee with gunshot wounds at head, chest and abdomen, in the first part of Al-Hawl camp in Al-Hasakeh countryside.

 

This murder came in light of ISIS cells’ escalating activities inside the camp.
