Saraqeb | No civilian movement spotted at the “safe corridor” propagated about by regime media

Idlib Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Reliable SOHR sources have monitored relative calm in Saraqeb area which is under the control of regime forces and its allies in the eastern countryside of Idlib. Meanwhile, no civilians have been seen crossing from areas controlled the control of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and opposition factions to regime-controlled areas, after reports circulated by regime media outlets yesterday about the opening of a “safe corridor” for civilians as of Monday.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported seeing regime military reinforcement comprising tens of soldiers and heavy machineguns arriving in Saraqeb city in the eastern countryside of Idlib. The recently-arrived unites were stationed in the northern neighbourhoods of Saraqeb adjacent Afes town in the eastern countryside of Idlib.

This development coincided with reports circulated on regime media outlets about the opening of a “safe corridor” for civilians who desired to leave areas under the control of opposition factions and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham in Idlib province to regime-controlled areas.
