Hours after tense calm in “de-escalation zone” | Rebels target regime forces’ positions in Idlib countryside

SOHR activists say that jihadist factions targeted with rocket and artillery fire this evening, gatherings of regime forces stationed in the town of Kafranbel in southern countryside of Idlib, but no casualties have been reported so far.

This comes after hours of tense calm on frontlines of the “de-escalation zone.”

SOHR sources have reported renewed rocket attacks by regime forces in the early hours of Monday morning, targeting positions in Al-Faterah, Sfuhen, Al-Bara, Kansafra, Fulayfel in the southern countryside of Idlib, Al-Ankawi and the surrounding areas of Qulaydin in Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-western countryside of Hama. Meanwhile, reconnaissance drones were seen flying over the “de-escalation zone”.
