Idlib | Barish camp’s inhabitants stage sit-in protest, demanding HTS release affiliate member

Idlib Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have monitored a sit-in protest in Barish camp in Idlib countryside, as people called upon Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham to release one of its affiliated members arrested previously by Tahrir Al-Sham. Several children, including, the arrested member’s children, lifted placards with slogans written on them read “take me instead of my father…oh HTS, do not deprive me from my father…freedom to Youssef Rahal Abu Malek”.

It is worth noting that the arrested member’s brother, a doctor who had arrested previously by HTS, published a post on social media, demanding Abu Mohammad al-Julani the leader of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham to release his brother. The doctor said that he was brutally tortured in HTS prisons exactly like regime security services’ practices in their prisons.
