Violations in Afrin | Elderly among two women arrested by “Al-Hamza Division” in Shirawa district

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Reliable sources have informed SOHR that patrols of the Turkish-backed “Al-Hamza Division” arrested, yesterday, two women, including an elderly woman, in Al-Basoutah town in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside in the wake of yesterday’s explosion in the town. According to SOHR sources, the Turkish-backed factions have tightened security grip at their checkpoints since yesterday on passengers travelling to and from Al-Basoutah town.

 

Yesterday, reliable sources informed SOHR that a young man and a girl were killed in an IED explosion, while they were making an IED inside their house in al-Basuta area near the city of Afrin, which is controlled by Turkish forces and their proxy factions north-west of Aleppo. According to SOHR sources, raw explosives used in the manufacture of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were found inside the house where the explosion occurred.
