Aleppo Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored this evening the fall of rocket-propelled grenades fired by Kurdish forces on areas in the city of Afrin, which is under the control of Turkish forces and proxy factions in north-western countryside of Aleppo, while Turkish forces reacted by firing missiles on areas in Maranaz, Shawargha, Alqama, Kashta’ar and Sagunaka, which is under the control of Kurdish forces in north and north-west of Aleppo. No casualties have been reported so far.

On February 17, SOHR activists reported hearing several explosions in Afrin city, caused by artillery fire from regime-controlled areas in Aleppo countryside. The artillery shelling injured nine civilians, including children, as five shells hit Al-Villat street in Afrin city centre.

On the other hand, Turkish forces stationed in bases in Aleppo countryside shelled the Kurdish-controlled villages of Kashta’ar and Abbin in southern Afrin, but no casualties were reported so far.
