As movement continue near Iranian positions | International Coalition and SDF conduct military exercises in Koniko gas field

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored today the International Coalition and the Syrian Democratic Forces, conducting military exercises with live ammunition near the Koniko gas field in eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

The exercises coincide with major movement by the International Coalition and U.S. forces, as military reinforcement of Iranian militias continue to enter and their deployment on the banks of the Euphrates River opposite U.S. bases in the region.

On February 25, SOHR sources reported the arrival of logistical and military reinforcement affiliated to US forces operating within the International Coalitions with the aim to accomplish the construction of the new military base in the surrounding areas of Al-Omar oil field in Deir Ezzor countryside.

SOHR sources reported that International Coalition Forces intended to establish an airfield in that base. Meanwhile, these forces carried out drills and maneuvers in surrounding areas.
