Old ordnance | Landmine explosion injures three children in Al-Hasakah countryside, while searching for truffle

SOHR sources have reported that three children sustained various injuries, some seriously, due to the explosion of an old landmine in Jabal Abd Al-Aziz in the south-western countryside of Al-Hasakah, while searching for truffle.

 

Accordingly, the number of people killed and wounded in landmine explosions in nearly 24 hours, while searching for truffle in Homs, Hama and Al-Hasakah countryside jumps to 23. The breakdown of casualties was as follows:

 

  • Three children injured in Jabal Abd Al-Aziz in Al-Hasakah.

 

  • A civilian was killed while his son was injured in Jabal Al-Bal’as in Homs

 

  • A woman was killed and another one was injured in Sadd Al-Saib area in the eastern countryside of Hama.

 

  • Five people were killed and 11 others sustained various injuries in near Rasm Al-Ahmar village in eastern Hama.
