Rising tension | Armed fight erupts between local factions and unknown gunmen in southern Al-Suwaidaa

Al-Suwaidaa Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR sources have confirmed that clashes with individual weapons erupted between local factions and unknown gunmen on the outskirts of Al-Qurayyah town in the south-western countryside of Al-Suwaidaa. The clashes resulted in the injury of one of the local militiamen, while a state of security tension is growing in the region.

 

On February 25, SOHR activists documented the death of a man affected by the injury he had in clashes and security disorder in Al-Suwaidaa city in the previous day between local factions and drug dealers. Accordingly, the death toll rose to two people. Also, eight other people sustained various injuries.

 

According to SOHR sources, Al-Suwaidaa city experienced a state of security tension, while the local factions deployed checkpoints on the side streets near Al-Suwaidaa city.
