Joint patrols | Russian and Turkish forces conduct new patrol near Ain al-Arab (Kobani), east of Aleppo

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored a routine patrol conducted by Russian forces with their Turkish counterpart, east of Ain al-Arab (Kobani) in eastern countryside of Aleppo. The patrol is expected to tour several villages and towns in Ain al-Arab countryside at the Syrian-Turkish border, as part of their regular movements in the area.

On February 25, SOHR sources reported that Russian and Turkish forces run a new joint patrol escorted by Russian helicopters in Al-Hasakah countryside. A patrol of five Russian vehicles and four other Turkish set off from Sherik area and toured the villages of Zahr Al-Arab, Kasra, Qayrawan, Tel Dahela, Kokond, Hajoughli, Otayshan, Qunaitarah and Qarmaniyah in the west of Al-Darbasiyah city in Al-Hasakah countryside, before the patrol returned again to the stating point.
