ISIS’ old ordnance | One child killed and another injured in explosion in Deir ez-Zor

Deir ez-Zor province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the death of a child and the injury of another, as a result of the explosion of a landmine left by the Islamic State in the area of Al-Maqabir in Deir ez-Zor.

An increasing number of people killed recently by a landmine, unexploded bombs, and collapse of war-damaged residential buildings in various Syrian areas and cities such as Homs, Hama Deir Ezzor, Aleppo, and southern Syria.

The Syrian Observatory has documented since January 2019 to date some 451 fatalities, including 72 women and 145 children. Of the total number, the Syrian Observatory documented the deaths of 99 people, including 45 women and six children, in their search and collect for “Syrian wild truffles”, which put their lives at risk, “Syrian wild truffles” grow in areas that are exposed to heavy rains and are sold at high prices.
