Tribal fight | Military commander among several people injured in clashes following disagreement over investment of oil well

SOHR sources have reported tribal fight in Al-Izbah area in SDF-held areas in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor following disagreement over the investment of an oil well in the region. The clashes resulted in the injury of several gunmen including a commander of “Deir Ezzor Military Council” of the conflicting tribes.

 

On February 22, SOHR activists reported clashes in the SDF-controlled town of Tel Barrak in Al-Hasakah countryside between gunmen of Al-Kharnoub family and gunmen of Al-Ateyyat family. According to SOHR sources, altercation took place between the two families which evolved later to armed fight, leaving several members of the two families injured, some seriously.

 

While on February 6, SOHR sources said that five people sustained various injuries in a fight between two families in Tal Azan village of Tel Barrak district in SDF-held areas in Al-Hasakah countryside. The fight flared up after a disagreement between two families of Al-Ali tribe, “Fakhd Al-Swayfat” and “Fakhd Al-Menaykhat”, while tribal dignitaries and elders interfered to defuse the tension in the village.
