Old feuds | Armed fight erupts between two families in northern countryside of Deir ezzor

Deir ez-Zor province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources have reported that an armed fight broke out between the “Al-Jabr” family and the al-Karimat family in the town of Al-Azba, north of Deir ez-Zor, but no casualties have been reported. According to Syrian Observatory sources, the clashes between the two families erupted due to an old feuds. The Syrian Democratic Forces intervened to break up the fight in the area.

In January, SOHR sources said that the death toll of tribal clashes in the town of Al-Sour in northern countryside of Deir al-Zour rose to one civilian and three members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), who were members of the tribes, and some 17 people were injured in the clashes.

Reliable sources told SOHR that an armed fight erupted between “Al-Boamair” and “Al-Kassar tribes in Al-Suwar town in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor. According to SOHR sources, the clashes left two gunmen, one of each tribe, dead as well as the death of a third person from “Al-Mushahdah” tribe, as several members of Syria Democratic Forces engaged in the fight, while a large number of gunmen of the two tribes injured. SDF later intervened, as “interposition forces”, attempting to break up the clashes.
