“Al-Hawl mini-state” | New assassination targets displaced Syrian woman

Al-Hasakah Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have documented the death of a displaced Syrian woman in the fifth sector of Al-Hawl camp in the eastern countryside of Al-Hasakah, after being shot by unknown gunmen, believed to be of ISIS cells.

 

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that security chaos continued in Al-Hawl camp in the eastern countryside of al-Hasakeh, as the Syrian Observatory documented a new assassination targeted a female Iraqi refugee. Where she was found dead, on Thursday evening, in the camp’s first section with gunshot wounds at head and chest.

 

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the assassinations on Iraqi refugees in the camp, which recently escalated and committed almost daily, were mostly carried out by ISIS cells of Iraqi nationality, who were also detained in the camp.

 

It is worth noting that this was the fifth assassination targeting Iraqi refugees in Al-Hawl camp since early March.

 

On March 3, SOHR sources reported that Asayish forces found the body of an Iraqi refugee with gunshot wounds at chest and abdomen in the first section of Al-Hawl camp in eastern Al-Hasakah. Meanwhile, unknown gunmen killed another Iraqi refugee in the same section, using a silencer gun.

 

While on March 2, SOHR sources said that Internal Security Forces found the body of an Iraqi refugee, who was killed by unknown assailants with three gunshots in the third section of the Iraqis in Al-Hawl camp in east al-Hasakah countryside.

 

Similarly, on March 1, the Internal Security Forces found the body of an Iraqi refugee assassinated by unknown assailants with several gunshots in the chest and abdomen in the first section of the Iraqis in Al-Hawl camp in the eastern countryside of al-Hasakah.
