After arrest of Islamic Party of Liberation and Hurras Al-Din’s affiliates | Females demonstrate in Aleppo and Idlib countryside, demanding the release of their husbands and sons

SOHR activists have monitored several women staging a demonstration in Telaada town in the northern countryside of Idlib, demanding the release of their husbands and sons, who had been arrested by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham for “belonging to the jihadi organization of Hurras Al-Din”. These arrests were a part of HTS security campaign launched throughout Idlib a few days ago, targeting commanders and members of “Hurras al-Din” organization which swore allegiance to “al-Qaida”.

On the other hand, another female demonstration took place in  Al-Sahara town in west Aleppo countryside, where women demanded the release of their husbands and sons, affiliates the “Islamic Party of Liberation”, who were arrested by HTS security services a few days ago. It is worth noting that HTS security services attacked a similar demonstration place in  Al-Sahara town yesterday.

On February 28, SOHR sources reported that a group of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham stormed several houses in Kelley town in Idlib countryside, arresting two displaced non-Syrian young men for “belonging to Hurras Al-Din organization”, while their fate remained unknown.

A day earlier, reliable sources informed SOHR that Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham arrested two members of the “Islamic Party of Liberation”, including a non-Syrian, in Kelley town in northern Idlib. Meanwhile, HTS amassed its troops in Deir Hassan town in northern Idlib in order to storm several houses and arrest suspects affiliated to “Hurras al-Din” organization which swore allegiance to al-Qaida.

On February 26, SOHR sources reported that HTS continued its security campaign against the jihadist organization of “Huraa al-Din” in Idlib province, where reliable sources told the Syrian Observatory that “Tahrir al-Sham” arrested two people of the organization in the town of Kelley in northern countryside of Idlib. Also, a Chechen woman was arrested in the city of Idlib, as well as the arrest of a former leader of “Huraa al-Din” in the morning in Deir Hassan in northern Idlib, bringing the number of individuals arrested during the day to six people, including a woman.
