“De-escalation zone” | Over 225 shells hit positions in Jabal Al-Zawiyah, while “Al-Fath Al-Mubin” fire several rockets on regime positions in eastern Idlib

Idlib Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists monitored intensive rocket attacks by regime forces on various areas in Jabal al-Zawiyah in southern countryside of Idlib, mainly concentrated on al-Fatirah, Safohin, Kansafra, al-Ruwaiha, Benin, Flifel and the outskirts of al-Barah. In addition, several rockets hit the surrounding areas of the Turkish post in the town of al-Nayrab in the eastern countryside of Idlib, along with the flight of Russian reconnaissance drones over the “de-escalation zone”.

 

It is worth noting that the number of rockets and artillery shells exceeded 225 fired by regime forces since morning, while the factions of “al-Fath al-Mubin” operations room have targeted regime positions in Saraqeb and Mardikh, east of Idlib.

 

SOHR sources had reported clashes in the early hours of Tuesday morning on Al-Ankawi frontlines in Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-west of Hama, between regime forces and opposition factions. The clashes, which came as apart of regime forces’ attempt to advance into the area, were accompanied by exchange of shelling. However, the factions managed to repel the attack, amid casualties on both sides.

 

On the other hand, regime forces shelled positions in Al-Faterah, Sfuhen, Kansafra, Al-Ruwayha, Bayanin and Fulayfel in the southern countryside of Idlib.
