“De-escalation zone” | 13 regime soldiers killed and wounded in shelling by rebels in Idlib countryside, and clashes erupt on frontlines of Latakia countryside

SOHR sources say that three members of the regime forces were killed and about ten others were injured today, as jihadist factions targeted with homemade “volcano” rockets gathering of regime forces in Dadikh village in eastern Idlib countryside.

Meanwhile, fierce clashes with machine guns took place on the al-Qala’at frontline in Latakia countryside between opposition factions and regime forces, as regime forces attempted to infiltrate into the rebels’ positions. No casualties have been reported so far.

Hours earlier, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored intensive rocket attack by regime forces on various areas in Jabal al-Zawiya in southern countryside of Idlib, mainly concentrated on al-Fatirah, Safohin, Kansafra, al-Ruwaiha, Benin, Flifel and the outskirts of al-Barah. In addition, several rocket-propelled grenades fell on the vicinity of the Turkish post in the town of al-Nayrab in eastern countryside of Idlib, coinciding with the flight of Russian reconnaissance drones over the “de-escalation zone”.

The number of rocket-propelled grenades has reached more than 225 rocket-propelled grenades and artillery since the morning, while the factions of “al-Fath al-Mubin” operations room have targeted regime positions in Saraqeb and Mardikh, east of Idlib.

SOHR sources have reported clashes in the early hours of Tuesday morning on Al-Ankawi frontlines in Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-west of Hama, between regime forces and opposition factions. The clashes, which come as apart of regime forces’ attempt to advance into the area, were accompanied by exchange of shelling. However, the factions managed to repel the attack, amid casualties on both sides.

On the other hand, regime forces shelled positions in Al-Faterah, Sfuhen, Kansafra, Al-Ruwayha, Bayanin and Fulayfel in the southern countryside of Idlib.
