Aleppo countryside | Turkish-backed fighter killed in fierce clashes with Kurdish forces

Aleppo Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored, this evening, fierce clashes with heavy machine guns and artillery shelling on frontline of the town of Kafr Khasher in Aleppo countryside, between Turkish-backed factions and Kurdish forces, following an infiltration attempt by Kurdish forces into advanced positions of Turkish-backed factions. The shelling left one Turkish-backed fighter dead.

Meanwhile, the Turkish base in the village of Tokhar al-Saghir shelled with heavy artillery the perimeter of the village of Al-Jat, north of Manbij, in eastern Aleppo countryside.

Yesterday, SOHR activists said that Turkish military bases stationed in the “Euphrates Shield” areas, shelled with heavy artillery the perimeter of Menagh military airport in areas held by Kurdish forces in northern Aleppo countryside, but no casualties have been reported so far.

SOHR sources reported that Turkish forces stationed in the military base in Mare’ area fired several rockets in the early hours of Monday morning, targeting Kurdish-controlled areas in the surrounding areas of Mare’ in the northern countryside of Aleppo, but no casualties were reported.

On March 5, SOHR sources reported that Turkish forces stationed in the military base in Kaljibrin shelled, with heavy artillery, positions in Tel Rifaat, Kafranaya, Al-Madiq, Sadd Al-Shahbaa, Sheikh Issa village, Halisah and the road to Deir Jameel in Kurdish-controlled areas in Aleppo countryside. On the other hand, Turkish forces and their proxy factions shelled military positions of “Manbij Military Council” in Jabal Al-Sayyad in eastern Aleppo. No casualties were reported.
