“De-escalation zone” | Rebels target regime forces in Idlib countryside, and regime forces shell villages of Jabal Al-Zawiya and Sahl Al-Ghab

SOHR sources say that opposition factions targeted, with artillery and rockets, positions of regime forces and loyalists near Ma’rat al-Numan town in southern Idlib countryside.

Meanwhile, regime forces stationed in Sahl Al-Ghab shelled villages and towns of Kafr Aweid and Safohin in Jabal al-Zawiya in southern Idlib countryside and Al-Ankawi in western countryside of Hama, but no casualties have been reported so far.

SOHR sources have reported rocket attacks by regime forces in the early hours of Wednesday morning, which targeted positions in Al-Haloubah, Al-Faterah, the outskirts of Al-Bara, Sfuhen, Kansafrah, Fulayfel, Bayanin and Al-Ruwayha in southern countryside of Idlib.

On the other hand, clashes renewed on Al-Ankawi frontlines in Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-west of Hama, between opposition factions and regime forces in a new attempt by regime forces to advance into rebels’ positions. Meanwhile, the factions have managed to foil the regime attack which comes for the second consecutive day following yesterday’s attack also on Al-Ankawi frontlines. No casualties have been reported.
