SOHR sources say that “engineering units” of the Turkish-backed factions found a booby-trapped oil tank at the Hamran crossing, which connects the areas controlled by the Forces of the Manbij Military Council in Manbij in areas controlled by Turkish forces and proxy factions in the eastern countryside of Jarabulus, and managed to detonate it.

This comes days after the attack on oil market in the Al-Bab area by regime and Russian missiles.

On March 14, SOHR sources reported hearing loud explosions nearby Jarabulus city this evening caused by rocket attacks of unknown origin on Al-Hamaran oil market near Jarabulus in the north-east of Aleppo. The explosions resulted in the injury of several civilians and workers, while fires caught several oil trucks.

This attack comes a week after a similar attack which resulted in the outbreak of the largest fires in the area, which burned down over 180 oil trucks.

On March 7, SOHR activists documented the death of a civilian due to rocket attacks by regime forces on the western outskirts of Al-Bab city in areas under the control of Turkish-backed factions in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.

A day earlier, SOHR sources reported rescue teams and fire brigades were extinguishing blazes which broke out yesterday evening in Al-Hamaran area in Jarabulus and Tarhin area in Al-Bab countryside, north-eastern Aleppo, after attacks with surface-to-surface missiles fired by Russian warships and regime forces stationed in military barracks in Aleppo on an oil market and oil refineries in Tarhin and Al-Hamaran in areas under the control of Turkish forces and their proxy factions in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

The attacks, which left four people dead and 24 others injured, also caused substantial material damage, as over 180 oil trucks were burned down.
